Solar rebates give you a nice incentive to capture and use the power of the sun. Who doesn’t want smaller bills?
The rebates were introduced in 2009 and gave the industry the oomph it needed to grow. They provide crucial incentives for households and businesses to embrace solar energy. Programs like the Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) have made solar panel systems installations more accessible and affordable for everyone.
BUT did you know?…
Look… it’s important to note that these rebates were designed to start big (with the biggest incentive in 2009) and decrease a little every year. And, they will be completely phased out by 2031.
If you’ve been considering going solar, now is the perfect time to take advantage of these diminishing rebates. Stake your claim before they disappear completely. Don’t miss the opportunity to save money, reduce your carbon footprint, and contribute to a more sustainable future for generations to come.
By investing in a solar panel system with SWIFT SOLAR and Electrical now, you can secure your piece of the sun while rebates are still available. Contact us today to learn more about how you can benefit from solar energy and start your journey towards a greener, more energy-efficient future.
You’re probably thinking about solar panels, right?
Well, you need to consider several factors:
You need the right advice to ensure you install a system that suits your needs.
Price does matter, but quality and value are far more important. No doubt you’ll be seduced by cheap systems you see all over the internet. By all means check out the competition, but…
…when you come to SWIFT SOLAR and Electrical, we’ll give you honest advice that matches your needs and what you want from your system. You’ll get a quality system that will last the distance, from a company that believes in old-fashioned customer service.
Well, it all depends. You do have to consider a number of factors. These include:
Should You Get a Battery?
Battery prices are still relatively high, but as the prices diminish, more and more people are installing batteries to avoid paying peak tariffs (especially at electrical peak hour 😉 from 4pm to 9pm.)
It may take from 5 – 10 years for your battery to pay for itself. But that may not be important for you. Perhaps you just want to make sure you are immune from inevitable power price hikes.
Ask us about government rebates and grants that can reduce the price of your solar panel and battery system.
Let’s get together
We make an onsite visit to assess your roof area, sun exposure, shade zones, check your switchboard, meter, supply and more!
And we will ask you about your power usage and collect copies of your electricity bills (a year, if possible to cover all seasons).
A decent proposal
We collate all your information and come up with the best design for your roof and your energy needs… and provide a quote to you in 3 business days.
We’ll wrap everything up in a detailed online proposal for you to review.
We’ll even show you where you’ll make savings.
Press the ‘go’ button
All it takes to go ahead is to pay a deposit. Then what we do is organise Energex pre-approval, which is called a Connect Application.
Approval for connection is either expedited (starts when your paperwork is submitted) or non-expedited (takes 10 business days).
Down to business
When approval is received… it’s installation time! It takes from 1 – 3 days to install your entire system (depends on how many kW).
With installation finished, we notify Energex who enables the system for your choice of retailer.
Being in the Energex approval queue usually takes 2 – 4 weeks after install.
Ready to harvest solar energy
Energex processes the paperwork. Then your metering provider receives a service order from your electricity retailer to make any changes to your meter, if necessary.
Once those metering changes happen… you can get connected…
and… that’s it. You’re ready to roll.
Take a look at our highly regarded industry accreditations… we’ve been given the tick of approval from industry regulators to specific prestige brands. Which means you know we can deliver on our promises of quality products and exceptional customer service.
There’s no accreditation more important than getting the nod from this crew. It means that we are approved for complex design and installation of on-grid, off-grid and other renewable energy installations.
Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) is the Accreditation Scheme Operator for the Clean Energy Regulators (CER) Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES). SAA offers different types of accreditation: Grid Connect Photovoltaics (GCPV); Grid Connect Battery Systems (GCBS); and Stand-alone Power Systems (SPS)…
…and we hold them all, so you can be assured of excellent advice in our provision of top-quality products and installations.
REC is a prestige brand. And that’s why we are accredited by REC as part of the REC Certified Solar Professional Program. It lets you know we have earned high accreditation. They don’t hand this out to just any installer. Only the cream of the crop can claim the title of ‘REC Certified Solar Professional’—you can feel secure in the knowledge that as members of this program, we’ve been carefully chosen and have undergone a specialized certification process.
You can be sure that as an REC-certified installer, we have the knowledge and skills needed to install REC panels correctly. So, you can trust that you’ll get not only top-quality REC solar panels but also a top-notch installation.
Why should you choose an REC Certified Solar Professional installer?
To be Accredited as a Tesla Installer is another reassuring feather in our caps! It means we have completed the necessary installation, training and compliance requirements that comprise the Tesla Energy Certified Installer Program.
By becoming a Tesla Certified Installer, we always stay up to date with industry standards through Tesla.
If you’re one of the many Teslarati (you know, folk who love or own or aspire to own Tesla products) then contact us to have your charging and energy products installed.
We want to know all about your energy needs. Together we’ll look at your roof, or other areas that you can install panels. While we can design just through Google maps and other apps, we also like to come and see the condition of your roof, get a feel for the daily shade patterns… and more. We will definitely take a look at some historical power bills to see your energy usage. It also helps us determine your savings.
It’s important we design a system that covers as much of your energy usage as possible because ultimately you want that free energy from the sun. We’ll want to know what appliances you tend to use most frequently, how many people live at your home, and how many people are there during the daylight hours. Do you run a business from home? Do you run a pool? Perhaps you have an EV or 2.
We use advanced software to estimate the cost and potential savings of your solar panel system. We analyze your energy usage, roof specifications, and local solar incentives to provide a detailed cost breakdown. This helps you understand your investment and the long-term savings you can expect from switching to solar.
You can take advantage of several government schemes and rebates when you install solar panel systems. The one most talked about is the STC scheme (Small-scale Technology Certificates). Programs and rebates are designed to entice you with financial incentives based on the renewable energy your system generates.
You’ll also potentially benefit from feed-in tariffs, which allow you to earn money by selling your excess energy back to the grid. There are other ways to reduce or remove your upfront investment, but be careful to do your homework because some schemes are complicated. Simple loans (such as Brighte Finance that SWIFT SOLAR offers, or leases, are straightforward agreements compared to Power Purchase Agreements or PPAs.
SWIFT SOLAR and Electrical is all about exceptional customer service and do top-quality work.
